U11B, U11, 2023-2024 (Bluewater Hawks Girls Hockey)

On Saturday, March 9th, the U11B Bluewater Hawks secured their spot at the 2024 OWHA provincials with a nail biting 2-1 victory in Ilderton. Provincials will take place April 12-14 in Oakville. Congratulations Hawks!

On December 16th, the U11B Hawks were excited to finally pick a name to win the Gift Card Christmas tree raffle. A huge congratulations goes out to the lucky winner: Vicki Hill of Strathroy. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets to support our team. 

A big thank you to the Strathroy Jets Sr A team for hosting the U11B Hawks for a fun night of hockey on December 8th. The girls enjoyed an entertaining game along with complimentary pizza. The girls also had a successful night of sales while selling tickets for their team gift card raffle fundraiser. Thank you for a great night, Jets!

On the first weekend of December, the U11B Hawks travelled to South Huron to participate in the annual Pink on the Rink tournament. In their 4th round robin game of the tournament, they faced off against a very tough Lucan team. After regulation time, the score was tied 1-1, which meant it would be going to a shootout. After 18 rounds of outstanding goaltending by both Hawks goalie Sadie Howley and the Lucan goalie, defense Addie Taylor deked and shot a backhander into the back of the net to win the game!

The U11B Bluewater Hawks travelled to St. Catherine's for the annual Brock Jr. Badgers on the weekend of November 3-5. They faced some tough competition and played their best hockey of the year to earn the silver medal in the U11B division. Congratulations girls! Your coaches and parents are extremely proud of your efforts!
