Silver Success for U11A at Pink in the Rink Etobicoke
The U11 A girls hockey team put on an outstanding performance this past weekend at the Etobicoke Pink in the Rink Tournament. From the opening puck drop, the girls showcased determination, teamwork, and a commitment to playing the game the right way.
After a strong round robin where they finished in first place with two wins and a tie, the team carried their momentum into the semifinals. In a thrilling matchup against the Oakville Hornets, the girls battled hard and came out on top with a well-earned 4–3 victory, securing their place in the championship game.
The final saw them matched up against the Soo Greyhounds, and although the result didn’t fall in their favour, the girls never stopped competing. They capped off a fantastic weekend with a silver medal—an achievement that reflects the hard work and heart they brought to every shift.
We couldn’t be more proud of this group. Their growth, effort, and positive attitude made for a memorable weekend of hockey. Congratulations, girls, on an incredible tournament and a well-deserved silver medal!
