14. MacLachlan Insurance Inc.

MacLachlan Insurance was started in the Village of Thedford by Howard MacLachlan in 1931. Howard sold for Pilot insurance Company, which is known as Aviva Insurance today. The business was sold, but continued to operate in the Thedford area. In 1962, Howard’s son, Harold MacLachlan, purchased the business back, based on a belief that the business would continue to grow by listening to the needs of his customers and providing excellent service. ×

17. Nuance Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a drug-free, non-invasive manual therapy that aims to improve health throughout systems of the body, this is done by manipulating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework, allowing for improved motion. An osteopathic physician will focus on the joints, muscles, tissues and spine. Treatment aims to positively affect the body’s nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems. Manual medicine means that both diagnosis and treatment are carried out with the hands.×

Wharton Sales was established in 1980 by Dennis and Linda Wharton. We began as the representative for York Lighting, which then became Lithonia Lighting in 1989. In 2007 as Dennis and Linda (semi) retired, their sons Steve and Scott Wharton purchased the agency. In 2020, we celebrated our 40th year in business. This family-run business has grown to a team of 31 and we now represent 60+ manufacturers, offering a huge range of lighting supplies and solutions out of our 6,600 square foot facility in London, Ontario. ×
