International Silver Stick Champions
Bluewater Hawks Bantam C capture International Silver Stick.
The Hawks traveled to Saugeen Shores on the weekend to compete for the coveted International Silver Stick.
In game 1 the Hawks faced the South Bruce Blades ( the top team in the WOAA League ) and shut them out by a 2-0 score.
Game 2 saw the Hawks face a familiar opponent from WOGHL in the Huron Heat and skate to a 4-0 victory.
Game 3 early Saturday morning would see the Hawks once again post a shutout with a 1-0 victory over the Wingham/Lucknow Sepoys.
Clinching first place in Pool A the Hawks would face the TCDMHA Rebels in the Semi Finals early Sunday morning. The game was never in doubt and the Hawks advanced to the Championship game with a 2-0 win.
The Finals would see a rematch with the powerhouse South Bruce Blades. The Hawks were able to once again shut down the offensive team from Bruce County to capture the title with a 2-0 victory.
The Bluewater Hawks Bantam C team went 5-0 over the weekend outscoring their opponents 11-0 on their way to becoming International Silver Stick Champions!!!
