Introducing the 2013-2014 Hawks Midget A Team
Firstly I would like to thank all of the girls that attended the tryouts for the 2013-2014 Bluewater Hawks Midget A Team. The girls that make up our team this year, demonstrated by their dedication to our selection process, have committed to each other and to the Bluewater Hawks Midget A Team.

Now that you have made the Team, the easy part is officially over and the real work will start! A committment to yourself and your teammates begins today. Over the summer you will be asked to work on physical skill developement, hand eye coordination excercises, flexibility increasing components, physical strength developement and most importantly shooting development! Remember what was stated time and time again during tryouts....Midget A hockey is big girl hockey and you need to learn to shoot the puck like hockey players.  We will develop that skill along with many others that are required to be successful at the Midget A level.

I will be putting together a team e-mail list and contacting everyone in the next few days. I will be formulating the Teams budget and organizing all of the other related bits of information that are required to ensure that we get started on the right foot and are pointed in the right direction. We will be holding a Team meeting where the girls can spend time together and I will walk the parents through the information that they will require to ensure that YOUR TEAM has the year you all deserve to have. I will make those arrangements in the next few days and as I stated earlier I will contact you with that information, date, time and location.

For the parents, it is imperative that you make yourselves available to ensure a strong year for the girls. The team will require assistance throughout the year in areas such as, timekeeping for all home games, fundraising organization, preparation for tournament travel Team functions (formal team meal organization, onsite team activities like tailgate parties etc), preseason gatherings to keep the girls connected and Team clothing considerations to name a few. Your involvement will also bring the parent group together before the year begins.

Thank you once again for all of your effort and congratulations to the 2013-2014 Midget A Hawks listed below!
